How to manage Google Business Profile listings: RetailTune’s guide

After its name change in November 2021, Google Business Profile is now going through another major change: the retirement of the Google My Business app.

Each store’s Google Business Profile listing is a fundamental storefront for the brand; through this tool, businesses can provide information about themselves, publish local campaigns and promotions, highlight the products available in store, and much more.

One of Google’s most recent changes concerns precisely these listings; since July, the Google My Business app, which local businesses used to update their information and connect with customers, is no longer available. The new management interface now appears directly on Google Search or on Google Maps.

Careful, timely management of GBP listings is now essential for any company that wants to increase its online visibility and give potential customers correct, complete information. Google Business Profile is in fact the touchpoint consulted by 25% of users before visiting a store.

RetailTune offers you a complete, free guide to help you manage your stores’ GBP listings, along with plenty of tips to optimize them at their best.
