RetailTune: here’s the new app for offering more services to the retail and wholesale world

RetailTune, an Italian company active in the world of Local Digital Marketing and Drive to Store, launches a new B2B tool to let stores manage their own data.

Helping consumers get to the right place at the right time based on the product or service they are looking for, while also letting companies be found by offering all the tools needed to build a relationship with the end customer: these are the goals of RetailTune.

At the heart of every Local Digital Marketing activity is the care and dissemination of information — that is, store data and the presence of stores across the various digital touchpoints users check before going to the store.

It is now well established that 54% of consumers search online before going to a physical store to buy a product or service, and it’s at this moment in the consumer journey that the brand needs to be found, telling its story as effectively as possible, backed by precise, timely and consistent information.

The health situation of the past year, with the constant stop-and-go of stores, has drawn companies’ attention to the need to better manage the touchpoints consumers use before making a purchase. This is especially true of Google My Business, Facebook Location and Store Locator, a very important tool, the heart of drive-to-store but too often sidelined and hidden. It is at these touchpoints that information (names, addresses, phone numbers, WhatsApp, up-to-date hours) must be managed to give the customer the correct information and a seamless service.

But there’s more: technically, what is known as NAP consistency (name, address, phone) across all touchpoints provides an advantage in terms of search engine ranking, generating a virtuous circle whereby stores are easily found in proximity searches.

Now imagine having to apply all of this within retail companies with hundreds of single-brand, franchise and multi-brand stores: managing data centrally from headquarters alone is unthinkable, especially at a time like the present, when changes to opening hours are the order of the day.

In order to meet precisely this need for decentralization and empowerment of the store, RetailTune has launched the B2B app that lets the store update regular hours, add special hours, and add local services, pushing them out to all touchpoints (from Google My Business to Facebook, from Store Locator to Apple Maps), simply, immediately and quickly.

By downloading the native mobile app, the store manager can manage their store’s data anywhere, anytime, and propagate it in real time across all touchpoints. A true revolution in the retail world.

“We started from a very basic assumption: it’s clear that if we ask store staff to spend time learning how to manage a new tool, we’ll delay the delivery of information to the end consumer and, in turn, their satisfaction”, explains Claudio Agazzi, founder of RetailTune. “We needed to find a simple way to communicate, which is why we thought of the smartphone, a device used by 80% of people worldwide, with which everyone is now very familiar. The process is very intuitive: just download the app, sign in with the credentials provided by the brand, and start entering hours and services. Try it and see: less than 10 seconds is enough to update a set of hours across all touchpoints”.

RetailTune’s app doesn’t just manage data — it also offers several other features that are always useful for making the journey between customer and store even shorter.
