RetailTune: New Concierge and Booking Services

RetailTune: New Concierge and Booking Services

Google Trends data in EMEA tells us about the effects the health emergency is having on everyone's life, and what consumers' needs and behaviors are.
Two months after quarantine began, people's immediate needs stabilized, and what emerges is the shaping of a new daily routine: Google Trends shows increased interest in clear information about ways to purchase goods and about the delivery of online purchases.
New purchasing behaviors are therefore emerging that allow people to avoid the physical experience by looking for products online that can be delivered directly to their home.
It's no coincidence that searches for "home delivery" have seen a rapid spike in recent months.

RetailTune: New Concierge and Booking Services

It's therefore reasonable to expect these habits to persist even after the lockdown.

Brands must therefore get used to finding alternative ways to serve their customers.

Right from the start, as soon as the lockdown period began, the RetailTune team got to work developing new features to address new post-COVID-19 scenarios and to best help support our clients in facing the new challenges this period presents, with features that are not only quick to integrate at the IT level, but also easy for clients to use, with a very intuitive, user-friendly interface.

Claudio Agazzi of RetailTune tells us the company put all its energy into producing two such useful products in such a short time. It should be added that these same products, usable in a crisis period like this one, are actually tools that could have been used even before COVID and will be used afterward too. All the features of the RetailTune platform represent more modern and innovative forms of Loyalty and Care from the brand toward its customers, and toward a category of users — who browse online to buy offline — who are increasingly attentive to the level of service provided, even before crossing the physical threshold of the store.

The first service, Concierge, is an aggregator that collects orders from users across multiple digital touchpoints, the most famous and likely being WhatsApp but also Facebook Messenger, traditional phone calls, on-site chat, and email.

RetailTune's new Concierge feature lets the store manager load the order received – from one of the brand's many digital touchpoints – directly onto the RetailTune platform, from which they can manage the purchase process with the customer easily, quickly and securely, handling the exchange of information, approval and payment, where applicable, by electronic means.

On the store side, the platform includes a reserved area that shows the number of orders generated and the status of payments. The same area can be shared company-wide to monitor all store orders in real time.

The second feature is RetailTune Booking, a solution that makes it very easy and quick to handle bookings for visits to stores, given the pressing need to manage entrances at points of sale in compliance with current regulations. The great advantage of this solution is that it can be integrated extremely quickly, without needing an app, making it far more accessible for users and significantly cheaper for the brand.

A simple page with available slots managed by the store manager, to keep a controlled handle on the number of people present at the point of sale and avoid crowding and congestion outside stores, with long waiting times to get in.

On the store side, it's a manageable, editable calendar; on the user side, a confirmation and booking system with timed reminders before the date.

The platform is already operational in 10 languages.
